Privacy policy

What we store
- Your Discord user ID, so we can send you alerts.
- The searches you save (words, budget, size, condition, category) and the alerts we've sent you.
- Messages you send directly to the Deal Scout bot, only to read the search you're asking for.
- Items you mark with “I got it”, to show your savings.
- If you pay: your Stripe customer ID and plan status. Stripe holds your payment details; we never see your card.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
- We don't read your other Discord messages, and we never connect to your marketplace accounts.
- Your searches are private: other people in the Discord server can't see them. The people who run Deal Scout can see them when needed to run and fix the service.
Who we share it with
Discord (to deliver messages), Stripe (to take payments) and Oracle Cloud (which hosts our server in London) — only what they need to do that.
How long we keep it
While you use Deal Scout. Removing a search deletes it. Ask us via dealscout.help1@gmail.com and we'll delete everything we hold about you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Contact us via dealscout.help1@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
